Roots of Motive Power
This organization's goal is to restore old logging equipment used in the Mendocino region. Includes photos of old equipment, upcoming events, and a photo gallery. Each piece of equipment is accompanied by an interesting and detailed history. Fun site. Make sure to checkout the dining car.

The Held-Poage Museum
This Victorian home turned museum/library contains over 4,500 valuable documents relating to local history. The Ukiah Genealogical Society stores it's files here. This site contains history of the museum and driving directions. Held-Poage is open Monday-Saturday from 1:30 to 5:00. It is located at the corner of Perkins and Dora in Ukiah. (707) 462-6969.
